E271i Monitor

Purchased as a long time user of HP monitors but this item fails in picture quality and adjustment properties. Previously I was using an older 23"unit and after weeks of trying to adjust the image color/contrast have given up and returned the unit to HP for checking. Sadly the replacement unit is no better so I have concluded that these units are just a lemon. Also very dissatisfied with the replacement unit as I am sure it was not a new one! Unit was certainly supplied in second hand carton and came with no cables or the usual screen protective films! Suggest that if you are looking at purchasing one of these that you check the product very carefully in store prior the purchasing. Nowhere as good as the old generation monitor I was using. Worst money ever spent!

Thought I was getting the mickey mouse thing but only got a lemon! Very poor contrast and color settings are hopeless. Sorry I spent the money now. before you buy please try out in store with some of your prerecorded material and you will see what I mean. I would have thought that for the price all controls would have been continuously variable! Have tried all combinations of brightness, contrast and color but still get a poor washed out image.
