Golberg Unglazed Theater Cord is way more than just your normal theater cord. With a lightweight, polyester core, this rope has a low-stretch elasticity and a higher strength than regular theater cord. The sheath is made of premium, unglazed, braided cotton for a soft, flexible, and durable protectant that can be tied repeatedly. Since Golberg's Theater Cord is unglazed, that means it is NOT FLAME RESISTANT and you should not try to heat seal the ends, but the braided cover does make this cord resistant to abrasions, harsh weather elements, and moisture.
