Works Great

Works very well as a mesh node in conjunction with my ASUS RT-AX88U WifF router. It was a little difficult to set up until I connected the WAN port on the GT6 to an open ethernet port on the AX88U. After initial setup was done, I disconnected the ethernet cable from the GT6 WAN port and moved the GT6 from the upstairs location (where my AX88U router is located) to our downstairs family room. I was the able to make a strong and reliable 5G wireless connection to our New Samsung Neo 8K TV. Before installing the GT6 mesh node the 5G from the AX88U was medium weak thus slowing video streaming. Now, with the GT6 in place, we have eliminated the buffering issues we had before.

Just...WOW! Speed for days! Gamer's dream!

This is the easiest five star rating I have ever given. The improvement from these two units over my previous AX11000 setup is night and day. I have these units set up on two different floors at the opposite ends of the house covering roughly 4,000 square feet. I connected them via cat 5e to ensure the fastest speeds possible on each level. My house is wired in several rooms but not all. At the furthest points in my house from each unit, I am seeing 550-650 Mbps/down and same for up on a Gig connection, via wireless. Closer to either unit I am seeing essentially the full 900-940 Mbps up and down. I am thrilled. Setup was easy as can be with the app. Absolutely a piece of cake, even if you have no experience with networking. The QoS features are all here. Three bands covering all your needs. We are a house of gamers and streamers. I am in love with this setrp so far. Time will tell as I have only had it setup for three days, but it is perfection so far. My ONLY potential con is the number of Gig ports on the units is 3, but they are compact, so I get it. Add a switch if you need it, like I did, and you're good to go. Buy one and see for yourself! We also have smart shades, lights, thermostat, locks, garage door, etc. They all connected perfectly as well.
