Sabrent USB 3.0 to SATA Hard Drive Converter

Sorry to say but the reason why this device will not work on external SATA drives is because a required power source cable IS NOT provided with this item. If you notice on all SATA drive there are two connectors. One smaller one(DATA) and one bigger one(POWER).

did NOT work

I plug it in the sabrent converter, heard the hard drive spin but windows never read it!! No matter what I tried all the HD would do is spin at it top speed. ( I tired it on windows 7 &10) I then tired it on 5 other HD I had and 1 out of 5 worked.The one HD that did work it was hit and miss. what a piece of junk!!
