At the age of 30, I have already moved 15 times in three different countries. If I add a world tour and many other trips, I have spent a life changing homes. That is, after my first 13 years in an idyllic village in the south of France. This book contains the essay "Finding Home", my reflections on what makes me feel home. Why did I feel home in some towns I did not like while I did not in towns I loved? Why was moving from my first house such a trauma when all my other moves were thrilling? What is it to feel rootless, uprooted, de-rooted? I now feel international, but what is it to feel international? More importantly, how have I managed to find a way to feel home, wherever I am? The book's second part, "A Practical Guide To Feel Home", gives you my recipe to feel home wherever you are, and however your life turns out to be, complete with pages for you to jot down your own lists, decisions, and goals in order to feel home and happy.
