I've used a mono pod for years holding it steady with my legs and feet are no longer an option. I decided to try Allen Company Axial Shooting Stick, 61" Max Height, Black, mainly because of the price since me and my husband hunt (have to buy two). I love it, works great; I would buy it again! It can be a mono, bipod or a tripod. Easy to adjust and has measurement lines on two of the legs, which is great for leveling. The V, sight rest, is very good and well-made also.
