Works great to create a private network

I bought this to create a private network at my Mom's senior living place that provides a public network. I found that connecting it to the facilities' 5 GHz network and then connecting devices to the router's 2.4ghz network allowed for the best transfer rates. Probably because each band is dedicated to a purpose. Provides nice isolation, although I did need to change its default LAN network as it defaults to the same network the facility uses. What are the odds? But it was easy to do, and everything worked the first time.

This modem was very easy to set up. I connecte dit to my wifi, and plugged in my jobs Ethernet cord. We have to be hard wired to work from home at my job. Its a great addition to my workspace, because its small, and a cute color blue. Highly recommended.
