Looks like it will hold up to a small cat

Our cat is small, young and energetic and enjoys playing with this toy. Sometimes I spray catnip spray on it for him. It was a little difficult to assemble as the pre-drilled holes didn't quite get done so I had to use some force. But it seems sturdy once assembled.

Sturdy!

"The scratchers are sturdy and long lasting. Our cats jump on them while they are playing, along with constantly scratching on them and they last a long time. We got them replacements after they wore it down by scratching a hole in it, but it still didn't collapse or fall apart. The other scratchers we got from a big box store and none of them lasted very long (we have 4 cats). They are expensive, but they are well worth it for durability."

Great gift for a car and cat guy.

I will have you know that although it is a great gift, it is the hardest thing I have ever assembled. It says no power tools but goodness if I didn't have power tools this cat car would have stayed flat. Other than the nightmare of assembly it is indeed a great product and they added some catnip as a treat.
