Depending on the manufacturer, 8.5 W fit well with a nylon stocking. If I can't find a wide width, I'll go to a 9, sometimes a 9.5 and wear socks if necessary.

Beautiful boots

These boots were very nice and comfortable, unfortunately they were too tall on my calf therefore too wide around my calf so I had to return them. It would be great if you made a boot height that hit below the knee for people with slim legs.
