There are several of these Anchor Hocking measuring glasses for sale. I always thought of Anchor Hocking as being made of very durable glass. These are somewhte "thin" glass. The sticker says "not microwareable". So I assume that they would shatter if used to heat a measured amount of liquid. So you would have to measure then pour the liquid into a microwavable glass. One other reason I chose this item was that the glass was wide enough to clean easily. I have another measuring glass of similiar measurement - 4 ounces. It is thick glass and very heavy. But I cannot clean it without using a small brush to reach the bottom.
