SHX9PCM5N 24" Dishwasher, 3rd Rack, Water Softener, Interior Light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Bosch SHX9PCM5N for a few months now, and honestly, it's one of those purchases I wish I had made sooner. The first thing I noticed was how unbelievably quiet it is—I actually had to check that it was running the first time I turned it on. But beyond that, the cleaning performance is just outstanding. I've put in everything from baked-on casserole dishes to greasy pans, and they come out spotless every time without me needing to pre-rinse. What really makes a difference day-to-day is how thoughtfully it's designed. The racks are super flexible, and I love the third rack for utensils—it frees up so much space below. I can fit way more in a single load than I expected, which has cut down how often I run it. And the drying is seriously impressive, especially for plastics, which used to come out damp in my old dishwasher. With this one, everything is dry and ready to put away right away. Overall, it just feels like a high-end, well-built appliance that makes life easier. The controls are simple, the app connectivity is actually useful, and it runs efficiently without me thinking about it. It's one of those appliances that quietly does its job so well that you forget about it—but in the best way. If you're on the fence, I'd absolutely recommend it—it's been worth every penny for me.

It is the first appliance I have used where using the AUTOMATIC (instsead of choosing HEAVY or NORMAL) selection actually works well. Items come out extremely clean. And wow, how quiet!! Here are some points which address some of the negative reviews: 1. Instead of an indicator light, there is a count down timer that projects on the floor. When finished, the timer disappears. 2. When finished, water drops can still be found on the inside walls of the machine because of the drying technology used. Instead of bringing in outside air it uses temperature to draw the moisture from the hot dishes to the cool walls. This is much mitigated by using the CRYSTAL DRY option, which adds some time to the cycle. 3. Without the app, there are plenty of cycles available, and I do not miss not using the app. For the extra POWER CONTROL for the bottom rack, I can choose extra power for the FRONT or REAR of the rack, which is just fine for me. I think the app can reduce the power area to quadrants, or perhaps even all of the rack, but I don't find I need the app at all. Great product, Bosch!
