Ben Hogan Boys Solid Golf Shorts, 2-Pack, Sizes 4-20

Overall, these are very smart shorts. They look very well-made as far as the sewing quality goes, and the material is very smooth and soft, but pretty thin. It is, in fact, a bit sheer. This is more noticeable in the lighter colored pair. I'm sure that makes them comfortable out in the heat, but it's something to be aware of. There is a wide elastic band that has very little give. I'm not sure what good it does other than it feels like it would help shirts stay tucked in, because it has a little texture to it compared to the main fabric. They fall all the way to my son's knees, though I should have gotten him a smaller size, so they may not be quite that long when they are better fitted in the waist. He wears 10/12 and is about to be 11 years old, so I got him a 12 in these and should have gone with a 10 (he is average in his size according to healthy BMI standards so you have an idea of how the shorts fit).
