The last one I had was over ten (10) years old when the tip broke! It was a Walmart supervisor at the Norwich Walmart who looked and looked for a "Banana Stand." She reexamined her inventory and realized that Walmart only had this product On Line! I followed her advice and found this MOST inexpensive "Banana Stand" I could find. My nephew stated that compared to the former one we had, this product is not Tall enough for longer bananas!? From my use of it, so far, it is doing exactly what I expect it to do.
