We love this bed for our guest room and the ability to store lots of keepsakes from our kids school days nicely hidden away but accessible. My husband and I put it together in under 1 hour. He did use a power drill to tighten the bolts. Take your time and look at the pictures in the instructions for the right orientation of parts. The bed lifts up easily and stays up when you are getting something from the storage area.
