Reebok LX2200 x Mountain Research Sneakers, New Men's Shoes HP9729, Men's U.S. Shoe Size 9.5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tan suede on this black-and-white model really makes it. It's a stand-out shoe that remains a useful neutral. It looks good with black pants as well as with pants in the tan-brown-green range. I am in love with the sharp color combination, so much so that I'm tempted to purchase a back-up pair. The only thing I'd change is that white platform: too likely to get dirty. Why couldn't the part closest to the ground be black? In terms of fit, this shoe works pretty well with my narrow foot. I have to lace it up tightly to get a snug feeling at the heel. The bottom is cushy and comfortable, thicker than it looks in photos. The shoe doesn't do much for over-pronation. I suspect the unisex sizing has something to do with the less than perfect fit/stability. What is this unitizing fad all about?? Women's feet are not shaped like men's. Suddenly to have to purchase shoes that are clearly based on men's sizes is an unwelcome development. When I have the choice between "unisex" and "women's" sizes, I never pick unisex, but so many of the striking colors are made for unisex (translate men's) sizing one doesn't always have a choice.
