Purchased for another reason

I had read somewhere that you could make an anti-glare screen cover (for your computer screen) from this item on the cheap. So I cut it to size, and I'm happy to say that it works. It does affect the fine print a bit, so while it's not perfect, it's a bargain compared to the outrageous prices for screen filters. Why does the price keep ratcheting up however? It was $2+ and now it's $5+?!?
