Fantastic tent!

I bought this tent 7 years ago and it has been the best backpacking tent I've ever used. It's so great I decided to buy it again after wild horses trampled and destroyed my first one. It's been through straight line winds at 40mph and heavy downpours and it stays dry as long as you know what your doing when you set up the rain fly. It's a sturdy simple and easy to set up tent. The only drawback is that it's not horse proof!

Perfect tent for one

This tent set up quickly and easily and gives plenty of room for one. I've used it with the rain fly off on a starry night, and it was pleasantly cool. I've used it on a rainy night with the rain fly in place, and the Lynx 1 kept the inside dry. I used it for overnight solo canoe trips. I think hikers will be as happy with it as I am.

Good bye biv sac

I do a bunch of solo camping, no more biv sac. The Lynx 1 takes up a bit more room than a biv sac (in the pack on the bike in the kayak) but is tons more comfortable. Easy to set up and it does great in wind, rain, and hot humid heat. There's plenty of length in the tent for your stuff and the vestibule provides even more room gear. If you're stuck in foul weather you can sit up and read your book, that's tough to do in a biv sac. The only negative is if you travel with a large canine companion that tents up with you, things might get a little tight. If you're not too tall a boarder collie sized friend or cat would fit at your feet.
