It's a descent size plastic bowl. I bought it for a camping dog food bowl. I was concerned that it wouldn't be big enough for my 70lb baby girl but it worked just fine. It would be a great cereal bowl or any other food you eat in a bowl if you like to eat big portions.

These bowls are affordable, microwave (reasonable amount of time), and dishwasher safe (I always use normal wash setting so I am not sure about the sterilizing was that usually uses scalding hot water) and are great for use in households where dropping ceramic dishes is more likely. They also hold a nice amount of cereal, soup, or salad.

These bowls are wonderful. They're microwave and dishwasher safe. They rinse clean so easily. They are wide and perfect for cooking oatmeal, noodles, etc. in the microwave. Plus the colors are really pretty and vibrant. I'm going to buy the plates and cups too!
