The Power Filter is designed to provide maximum surface area and optimum dwell times in all stages of the filtration process. Rigorous 2-stage mechanical filtration is performed by a thick layer of poly/foam that effectively traps large and fine debris. The foam slides out easily for quick cleaning. Activated carbon, located in an easily-manageable and removable basket, performs thorough chemical filtration and effectively removes toxins.In the final two stages, a Bio-Screen pad provides massive biological surface area for friendly bacteria to colonize, plus it blocks debris from entering a trickle chamber filled with C-Nodes that are super-charged for fast and efficient nitrification.The result is clean, clear and healthy water for aquarium life to thrive in.

Best Filter Ever!
This is the best filter I've tried. I bought the C2 for my 15 gallon tank and the water is crystal clear. It is so quiet plus you can turn up/down the flow of water. I have Platys so I keep the water flow low (less current). I had previously tried the Fluval underwater filter but it failed after one week. I ended up going to petsmart to buy a Marineland filter with the wheel but returned it due to the noise and water splashing everywhere.

Best filter I have used, quieter than Aquaclear
I have used Marineland biowheel, Aquaclear, Aquatech and Tera Whisper but this Fluval C series is the bet filter. It is very quiet, you only hear the waterfall slightly, it has a flow rate adjuster. The price of this C2 is great for such a awesome filter. If you like Aquaclear then you will love this one. I haven't tried the Seachem Tidal filters yet so far Fluval C is the best filter, try you won't be disappointed.
