Purchased to replace the TV tuner which malfunctioned in one of my flatscreen televisions. One of the channels had locked up and was making the TV tuner portion of the television in operable. Just plugged it into one of the accessory HDMI ports and everything works as normal now. This is less expensive than buying a new television just to replace the tuner portion on a otherwise working television.
