The product photo is a little deceiving. The gazebo roof is the same color as the frame - it’s a very dark gray. The product arrives in 3 large, heavy shipping boxes that despite being very well packaged FED-EX still managed to damage one box and cause a minor dent. We were able to knock the dent out with a rubber mallet. 

It took us 12 hours to assemble at a very calm pace. The 48-page assembly manual is fairly descriptive, I’d rate the instructions a 9-out-of-10. Good, but not perfect. The materials appear to be good quality, perhaps better than I expected. Even the screen and curtains were better quality than I anticipated. I’m actually rather impressed how well the gazebo was designed. It’s very sturdy yet the assembly very carefully considered for non-technical people. I’m not going to lie, it was a LOT of pieces and a LOT of hardware - but the hardware was carefully laid out, everything was tagged. If you are someone who reads carefully and is observant to graphics, you’ll have no trouble. It just takes time.

 When it’s fully assembled it appears rugged and very sturdy. I think it’s very attractive. We live in Tampa, FL and I bought this to replace a gazebo with a cloth top - I got tire of the sun constantly rotting the fabric. That said, this gazebo has a dark metal roof that absorbs a lot of heat from the sun - and it definitely radiates that heat back to the people sitting under the metal roof. It was very noticeable. We will certainly need a fan while sitting under this gazebo in the summer months. However, I’m certain the metal roof will last much longer than the cloth gazebo it replaced.

 Overall - I’d rate this entire product a solid 9-out-of-10. Good quality, careful design, solid set of instructions, very well packaged (but trust me, FED-EX will still leave their mark!). I knocked 1 point off because the color gets screaming hot in the sun ( at least in Florida). A light -colored top would have made this product a 10-out-of-10. Better quality than I expected for the price.

Definitely impressed. Every part fit together perfectly, and it was engineer to go together only one way. Everything was labeled well and the instructions were clear. I put this together mostly by myself, but I did need a helping hand in a few phases of the assembly. It took me about 10 hours total from start to finish to build the gazebo. I was continually impressed along the way about how well they engineered this thing. I would not hesitate to buy this gazebo again.
