Great bang for the buck
Pros: 1. Great bang for the buck! ($600 for 2 weather-sealed lens, weather-sealed camera body, 1 external flash, a card and a bag) 2. Image quality is very good 3. Good ergonomics, easy-to-navigate menu system. The green button to reset exposure compensation is really nice. 4. Lots of features for the price: 2 control dials, weather-sealing, image stabilization built in sensor, etc. Cons: None for the price. Other thoughts: If you are going pro, Nikon or Canon probably are better choices. Pentax lenses are limited and are more expensive. I bought 2 prime lenses (50/1.8 and 35/2.4), they are both very sharp, but the autofocus is not ultrasound. (slow and noisy). They are completely plastic. All plastic is good for hobbyists due to lightweight, but may not be rugged enough for a pro.
Great Camera
Pros: Easy to use Great quality pics Weatherproof Battery options Cons: Colors- Tried getting this camera in a fun color like red or white and it's difficult. Didn't think I would like the 'army green' but I love it. It has a nice texture and it's not black so I can spot my camera easily!! Other thoughts: Fast and easy transaction. I saw this bundled elsewhere with a flash and that would have been more useful to me as I already had a great camera bag, but the other place didn't have the camera...it was forever backordered, so no complaints. Would do biz again with buydig!!
Nice bundle
Pros: Yes, it comes with the bag and the memory card. No, the description doesn't say that it does but the picture shows them. Body is army green with black, which really isn't objectionable considering the price difference. Really amazingly fast auto focus speed and great to use in full auto mode. My wife and I can use it in point and shoot mode when we don't feel like being a photographer. Will work with any Pentax K (with programming changes), KA or later (no programming) lens so if you're a Pentax fan, no need to buy new lenses. Cons: The included lenses aren't great for low light, but then Pentax doesn't make any really low light lenses in varifocal varieties for their DSLR cameras, however you can buy older fixed focal length (note FIXED FOCAL LENGTH) KA lenses and the camera will work quite well with them. The old 50mm KA lenses are very practical for general walking around photography and are f1.7 to f2.2 depending on which model you buy. Other thoughts: While you're buying, if you're upgrading from older equipment, buy a Wein adapter so you can use your old flash equipment. Far less expensive than the dedicated Pentax flash for this camera. No, it doesn't do anywhere near as much. Yes, it requires you to manually program your photos and if it's really dark you'll have to manually focus at distances over about 50 feet but you'll save a whole bunch of money if you ever do that kind of photography.
