Treads were perfect for my painted wood basement stairs. Very comfortable for bare feet. Excellent price compared to others online. Special note: I would not have known they have a cellophane backing sheet that must be removed before applying if I had not read a review that mentioned difficulty removing it. I used packing tape to pull it off, worked like a charm. (No paperwork came in package to explain.)
