Great First Impression

Had the first generation Clash reel for 5 years now in a 2500 size for small Stripers here in MA. The reel has actually landed Stripers up to 38" in heavy current and has been trouble free since I purchased it. Time to upgrade some old tackle so I purchased three of the new Clash series in 3000 size to put on some 7ft rods. So far have about 30 Stripers on the reels and they are excellent. Great quality, silky smooth crank and very smooth drag on the reels. biggest fish is 26" but it's still early. Looking forward to seeing what they can do this season.

I bought the 3000 hs for hybrid striper fish here in pa on the Ohio river we throw heavy baits and the reel preformed great it's over built and that's great the drag is flawless line lay is perfect and it's lite weight and very smooth on retrieve you woulnt get a better reel even if you spend more money penn hit a home run with the clash 2. GREAT JOB PENN!!!!

Killer reel. I have the clash 4000 which I use primarily for false albacore and bonito. The Clash II 4000hs is going to be a integral part of my surfcasting arsenal. With the ability to cover more water with the faster retrieval rate I can search for fish more efficiently.
