Beautiful set

I've bought several Lego 'Friends' sets for my 7 year old granddaughter who loves playing with them but as a 68 year old they never really appealed to me.... until I saw this set and just had to buy it as a display piece rather than a play set. It was a joy to build with the overall building design, wonderful plants and so many interesting details.

Beautiful garden set, more like this please Lego!

I'm going to start this review by saying the Botanic Garden is easily the best Lego friends set I've ever seen or built and a phenomenal Lego set in general. I've loved building it and found it really relaxing and joyous. I bought it for myself but as I'm also a parent so it will get played with as well. Overall it's really fun build, not at all repetitive with some really great building techniques. The part use is super innovative and includes some fantastic recolours of previous pieces. The green saxophones for example, make a fantastic monkey jar plant and it's great fun making all the plants. I love the botanical Lego collection and this appeals to me as an adult in a similar way, but it would also will fit superbly in with my Modular buildings. I could also see it in a Winter Village with a few snowy extras. It's interesting enough for an adult builder and very relaxing, but I think a more capable child could easily make this set unaided (my daughter is ten and could manage for example). There is loads of play value here for kids, she loves all the plants and the butterflies in particular. However, we are now planning to put two together and make a bigger garden. The mini dolls are lovely and the colour scheme is wonderful, gone are the old bright garish pink and purple colour schemes of the old Lego Friends, this is just gorgeous and visually very appealing. I picked this set up in person and was surprised by how heavy it was, you do seem to get a lot of parts for your money and lots of pieces spare. I would highly recommend this set, it's gorgeous, fun to build, had lots of play value and would be a wonderful display piece or addition to a Lego town, especially as it's not especially mini doll rather than minifigure sized. Perfect!

Beautiful

If I didn't know it was a 'Friends' themed set, I would be sure it was from the ideas series! It looks absolutely gorgeous😍 I'm not a big fan of LEGO Friends theme, but this year the series really positively surprised me😊 I love all the different plants and an exhibition of butterflies in the dome. It's quite small tho for the price, would be happy with £20 less.
