This is the 3rd time I'm ordering/replacing this part. The dishwasher worked great the 1st 4 years then the latch stopped working and had to replace around the start of the 5th year. A few months later it failed again, ordered, replaced and here we are about 3 months later and I have to order and replace again. That's 3 times in 2021 and it's only September. I use my dishwasher almost everyday, now I'm going to have to save to buy a new one as I really don't want to replace the same part multiple times a year. I have all GE appliances but 5 years doesn't seem to be a long enough time for a major appliance to start having this many issues.

Another Statistic
I have replaced this twice and had my dishwasher repaired several times. The dishwasher works well when it works; however, it seems like the device is inoperable more than it is working.

Cheap plastic parts!
I've had this dishwasher for 2 years and this is the third door latch that I have had to replace. Read reviews on multiple sites. This is VERY common. I love the dishwasher and it is a fairly easy part to replace, but plan on buying several of these so you have it on hand when you need it. And I promise you will need it!
