SAFAVIEH Cyrus Amelia Abstract Shag Area Rug, Ivory/Gray, 6'7" x 6'7" Round

We fell in love with this rug the first time we saw it hanging in a store. Unfortunately it was an 8 x 11 and we needed a 9 x 12, so we had to order one online. The rug is stylish and super soft under your feet. The colors are neutral and don't pop like a brightly colored rug would, but does immediately catch your eye because of the really cool wave pattern and layering. The only reason this gets a 4 star and not a 5 is because of the way Safavieh packaged this rug for shipping. Most area rugs are rolled, but this one arrived folded and strapped from the manufacturer. This was drop shipped straight from the Safavieh warehouse and arrived with major creasing from the folds. They are starting to flatten out and hopefully will completely flatten out in time, but this was disappointing for such a beautiful and not exactly "cheap" area rug. The instructions say to roll it up for a few days and then sweep it to help with the creasing. Well, good luck having the space and/or ability to manually roll up a 9 x 12 heavy area rug without any type of round cardboard of plastic core to roll it around. I suppose you could use a piece of PVC pipe, but you shouldn't have to worry about that in the first place. Aside from that, this rug is very nice and feels even cushier on top of our 1/4" foam pad.
