Simple, small, real door chime. No fake electronic sounds.

This door chime is a true door bell. It has a pleasant tone and is small and unobtrusive. The plastic housing is available in either white or beige, but it can be painted with any 100% acrylic primer/paint. Just remember, paint only the outside of the cover, and paint the cover detached from the chime. I have 3 of these in one home powered by a 16v 30va transformer. Installation is easy and takes at most 10 minutes. Tools: blue masking tape, 12" ruler, level, sharp pencil, drill & bits, and screwdriver. I have no idea what the previous reviewer was saying in her review. I can only surmise that she has neither the understanding or experience to work with electricity. So of course, it's the doorbell's fault.

It works

This doorbell was an exact duplicate of the one that inexplicably burned out in 8 years. Therefore it was very easy to install. Finding it was another issue as it seems to have been given a different model number in the intervening years. Anyway, we now push the button and the bell goes ding-dong. What more could a body want?
