Aquaculture constitutes the fastest growing food production sector in the world as it is through aquaculture that fish is produced to augment the protein needs of people who depend a lot on captured fisheries. Though, culture-based fisheries production in developing countries like Ghana is showing very strong growth, the rate is slow as it is bedeviled with many constraints, the major been inadequate high-quality, affordable and available feed supply. The high cost of feeding has affected the development and expansion of aquaculture enterprises in most African countries.
