Bought 2 of the Powerheads for a 29 gallon freshwater, one for use and one for backup. Still using same powerhead in my 55 gallon now. 2nd one still new in the box. Only replaced impeller once in over 20 years.

My 4 old Penguin 550 Power Heads
I purchased these from a pet store that was closing up shop in Ormond Beach FL back in 1994, they are the old style with the rounded power cord. These have never let me or my 2 tanks of Discus Fish down not once or have ever failed, and after many years of use - I have to personally thank Marineland products for making such a great product. Which reminds me, I have to place an order for replacement impellers - LOL
