Great assortment of colors and easy to use.

I have not used much chalk in my sketches yet, but it works very well on black paper. Blending is easy but can get messy. I found that it works well when I break the sticks in half or thirds, it will help in the drawings, especially in small spaces. This pack has a nice assortment of colors. In would have like more pieces of white. I purchased a separate box of white chalk pencils. As a beginner I am trying all mediums, and chalk is fun to work with.
