INSTRUCTIONS DON'T TELL YOU ANYTHING

The directions that come with this are pure garbage. They don't tell you anything. You can see how bad they are on here. Surprisingly I can't even find a video on YouTube. I will never never buy another moen product if this is how bad directions are gonna be on something this complicated looking.

No way to install with escutcheon!

The escutcheon blocks access to the machined flat sides of the eccentric assembly needed to tighten it adequately to prevent leaks!

Hello Dan34 and thank you for the feedback you posted on the Moen website. The Moen M-Dura single-handle wallmounted kitchen faucet, model 8713, requires that the supply pipes extend from the finished wall by a minimum of ¼”. If you do not have this extending beyond the finished wall, you could encounter the difficulty you described.
