SCHLAGE Lock CO B60N605 Single Cylinder Deadbolt, Brass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Schlage D 60 single cylinder deadbolt because of its high security rating. I have owned other deadbolts, but I found that they were vulnerable to various mechanations like bump keys that thieves and scoundrels like to use. I had a break-in at my home and lost several important hard, and SSD drives from my computers. I used an AI to find out how these thieves were getting in without leaving any sign of forced entry. The AI informed me that bump keys were a real thing and that I should look to the Schlage D60 deadbolt to foil such attempts at entry. I found the lock very easy to install and was wondering how it would fare against the scoundrels that were wrecking my peace of mind for they had hit my home up a few times already and seemed to know when I was asleep or away. I’m telling you it wasn’t one day after installation that the lock was put to the test. I went out to have dinner with some business associates and it was late in the evening when I returned home. I found my front door mangled by what I assume was a crowbar. Obviously the bump keys was not working on this lock! Not only that, but the door though badly damaged held and the deadbolt denied entry without a scratch to the finish. I am indebted to the good people at Schlage for the peace of mind that I now can claim as my own. I wish I could post some of the pictures of my door. It would show you that the only thing that did not give way that day was the D 60.
