It seems to be all that they say it, but how do we really know if it's grass fed and organic? It has a mild beef odor to it which is to be expected and makes everything I fry in it taste delicious.

First product I've purchased through Walmart that wasn't in the store. Went as well as ordering from amazon. I have used a lot of the tallow yet, but in the small frying portions I've done everyone seems to like the flavor quite a bit. I did about 8 catfish fillets in a shallow cast iron skillet, and was highly complimented.

Package was damaged prior to shipping

The beef tallow is fine and it was a good price for the quantity. However, the plastic bucket it was delivered in had a hole in the bottom (the packaging was fine, so it didn't get damaged in shipping) and as a result, we had to decant all 7 pounds into new plastic containers for storage. I probably could have returned it but it didn't seem worth the hassle.
