These whole vanilla beans are non-GMO, cultivated, and harvested using natural, traditional methods which ensure a strong persistent aroma. Vacuum-sealed, food-grade packaging retains its freshness in transit and storage. Packed with seeds and high vanillin content of 2 to 3.5 percent ensures it has great flavor. A supple feel and high moisture level of 27 to 35 percent are other marks of their quality. The high vanillin levels may also lead to a crystal-like appearance with age. It can easily be split open, the caviar scraped off and added to ice cream, latte, cooking, and baked products. Chop these Grade-A vanilla beans and immerse them in alcohol to make home-made vanilla extract.

Best Vanilla Extract
I decided to make my own Vanilla Extract using the dark Rum. I bought a large bottle of Rum, then I took my Vanilla beans and cut them straight down the middle and then cut each bean into three pieces and placed every single one into the bottle of rum and waited ten weeks before trying it in my cookie recipe. The one thing I did different was instead of adding one teaspoon of the extract into my cookie recipe, I added 3/4 tablespoon into my White Chocolate Chip Cranberry Cookie batter and I thought it was my imagination when I tasted the cookie and the taste was amazing. Afterwards I gave it to my daughter so she could make the rest for her family. She happened to have company and everyone complimented her on the cookies tasting so delicious. Wow what a difference it is to make your own Vanilla Extract!

I purchased these to make vanilla extract. They were moist and tender and full of paste. I cut the ends off so the beans would fit in an 8 oz bottle and used the ends for simmering potpourri on the stovetop. It smelled fantastic. The photo you're seeing is 20 days in.

Honestly these are best I've found looking for vanilla beans.. these are actually grade A, and actually smell sweet as they should.. their plump and sweet..I've ordered from three different places and ugh.. these from Walmart are as they should be.. so I'll be getting them from here for now on..
