HP 15.6" FHD, AMD Ryzen 5, 8GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Silver, Windows 10, 15-ef2127wm

This is a great laptop for the price; a simple design, a good processor, and for just $399 (when I purchased it) for a Ryzen 5 5500U processor, it was a great purchase. It looks good, it works fine, and it does not show many marks; the keyboard layout is good for most general use, the screen has a good brightness and not much glare, and the soundbar is loud; don't need an additional speaker to enjoy listening to videos. However, I was never able to test the limits of this laptop; there is a simple issue that is a "deal killer" for me. If you pick up the laptop from the bottom lefthand corner (pick it up with your left hand), like anyone might normally do, and the laptop shakes a bit, then it will flex, and the trackpad will click; so, basically, you pick up the laptop, and it will click the mouse without your permission. (Please see the photo for the place where I held the laptop.) I don't always pay attention when I am moving my laptop, and I move it around a lot; I cannot be certain that the mouse cursor will always be in the correct place when I pick it up; I have already had issues with windows suddenly disappearing, without my knowledge. The "chassis" of the laptop, the bottom part that sits on the desk, is just too flexible; this is a design flaw, and there are similar laptops for similar prices, without this issue. I will move to another one; but if I wanted something that would just sit on my desk, this would be perfect.

Overall, it's as expected for a budget laptop. Battery life and performance are good after uninstalling all the crapware. Although its screen is better than some screens in this category, it has poor black levels, brightness, contrast, and color saturation. The keyboard is usable for touch typing even though it has some deck bounce and the keys are not firm. Mouse clicks with trackpad make a loud clunk.
