The Bible simplified.

Jefferson had an amazingly simple idea. Take all of the lessons in the Bible minus the miracles and hocus pocus and cut and paste (literally cutting up the print and pasting it to another page) into a document to teach ethics minus the religious overtones. From a historical perspective it is a brilliant idea, especially for its time. The insistence that the US is a Christian country is not entirely accurate and here is some proof of that idea from our third President.

The Jesus story without the supernatural.

It's interesting to read Jefferson's attempt to rationalize the Bible. He took the four gospels combined them into one story then took out all the supernatural nonsense.
