Great bread knife
I bake my own sourdough so I'm using a bread knife every day. This is a big step up from what I had before. I was a little unsure about the 8 inch size thinking it might be too small, but it's actually perfect! same length as my old knife and handles a full loaf with no issues. The handle feels really solid and has a good grip. The whole thing feels professional grade, not like something that's going to fall apart after a few months of daily use. Really sharp, as well. If you bake regularly, this is worth having.

A must in the kitchen
I like tools that do what they're supposed to do without a bunch of fuss, and this knife fits that bill. It's sharp, feels good in your hand, and cuts clean through tomatoes, bread, fruit, and just about anything else in the kitchen without smashing it first. I'm old enough to appreciate things that last. The high-carbon steel holds an edge, the handle feels solid, and it just feels like a quality knife every time I pick it up.

Super sharp and durable. Feels sturdy and well made. I use my Mercer bread knife for slicing up my artisan sourdough. I already own one Mercer bread knife and it's my go-to, even against the more expensive brands I own.
