Water tastes very good after using this filter! I use the filtered water to make very flavorful coffee every morning. Iced tea on a hot afternoon, tastes especially satisfying when made with the filtered water from the Gold Tone Charcoal Water Pitcher in my Brita water pitcher! Even our dogs love the filtered water! I tested it by adding fresh tap water to their water bowl. In a separate bowl, I added the filtered water and I set them down about 2 or 3 inches apart. Every dog sniffed, then went to the filtered water and drank...every single time! I left both bowls of water sitting side by side and our dogs would only drink the filtered water. Our veterinarian said that the filtered water is healthier for our pets because the harmful chemicals are filtered out. I use the filtered water to water my plants and I can tell a difference!
