Works, but some drawbacks.
These things do work, they require multiple installations around your lawn, but they don't last forever. I've only been able to get about 2 years' life out of these spikes before they simply stop working. Still better than some other mole control methods I've tried.

Buyer beware, waste of money!
I ordered two sonic spikes. Put them in the ground. Watered lightly two days later and one stopped chirpping as it had water in it. Cost me $5.50 to send it back to Exhart who sent me a new one. Put it in the ground, tightened the top, it rained lightly and stopped working. Checked it and it had water in it. A waste of money!!!
