Ted, Carson, Jai, Kyan and Thom (the Fab Five and stars of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) join the ranks of television and movie stars everywhere -- they have their own soundtrack. And wouldn't you know, from start to finish, inside and out, it is delivered with impeccable style and taste. In short, it's fabulous!

Wildlife's "All Things (Just Keep Getting Better)" serves as the Fab Five's theme song -- it was written especially for the show. Let's face it: things do indeed get better for their makeover subjects, and without the infectious beat of this song to drive the Fabs along, one wonders where they'd find the energy to take on all those errands! "Good Luck" is what those straight guys need going into their makeovers, all right. But "Good Luck," the song by Basement Jaxx (featuring Lisa Kekaula), has probably helped coach and coax out a few of their inner divas too. . .

"Slow (Chemical Brothers Mix)," by Kylie Minogue, is just the right tune for that "work your body" part of the day; lifting weights and stretching on the yoga mat. Or maybe it could provide a little inspiration while redoing the love den. One thing's for sure, the dancefloor loves Kylie.

And speaking of dancing, there probably isn't a person in the world who heard Junior Senior's "Move Your Feet" in 2003, and didn't move their feet. Something about the production pops. . . or maybe it's because this beat-driven group is from the unlikely country of Denmark.

Ingrid's "You Promised Me" is pure Euro-disco while Jamelia's "Superstar," though also a European sensation, has the sound of All-American hip-hop. "Everybody Wants You to Emerge," a literal fusion of Billy Squier's "Everybody Wants You" with Fischerspooner's "Emerge," is a totally wild techno/electro-clash -- kind of like some of those before and afters on the show!

The "original metrosexuals," new wave's Duran Duran, are on the comeback trail and "Sunrise (Jason Nevins Remix)" has them sounding a little "Hungry Like the Wolf," a little "Girls on Film" and totally remade. Talk about your Fab Five! And just when you thought we'd gotten to the top of the metrosexual heap, here comes well-dressed and fit as a fiddle Sting with his trippy bass and drums version of "Never Coming Home (Gonna Live My Life Remix)."

And finally, Elton John closes out the set with his Philly-soulful "Are You Ready for Love," a track unearthed from some '79 sessions; amazingly, it sounds absolutely contemporary. Go figure: everything that's old is new again. And that's exactly what Queer Eye is all about. Viva les Fabs!
