But the reality is that she has been without a job for weeks, without a place to live, and gasping for breath, so when her grandmother proposes to seek refuge in the town of her childhood, she does not hesitate to accept despite the peculiar conditions: she must find some pots lost in the garden and reopen the book club for the curious people of Trevillés.
 
Once there, April tries to evade herself with the help of the books, but fate has other plans for her. She will soon be forced to share the house with Alex, a young man who is as captivating to the rest of the neighbors as he is inconvenient for her, with a mysterious past and a desire to revolutionize her life.
