Jacquard Procion Mx Dye - Cerulean Blue, 8 oz. : Procion MX dyes are the undisputed king of backyard dyeing, batik and tie dye due to their being fixed chemically rather than with heat. It is a fiber-reactive dye, and thus forms a strong covalent bond to the fibers, making it the most permanent and wash fast of all dyestuffs. Mix the powder with tap water and create the most vibrant colors possible for cotton, linen and other plant-based fabrics. This powder can be used as well with protein fibers if acidified. Most frequently used with a soda ash fixative, which can be added directly to the bath, or can be used to pretreat fabric in tie dying.
