Medline Basic Steel Transport Wheelchair with 19" Wide Seat, Burgundy

The Medline Basic Transport Chair is a very nice chair. It is light weight and also compact. Folds up easily so it fits nicely into my van. Would also fit nicely into a car trunk and even behind the seat of a pick up truck. It is very easy to fold up and there is no need to have to remove the foot rest. Just unlock them and swing them around and they clip onto the side so they do not move when you try to put it in the trunk or van. I also like the handy side pouch connected to the side. It is perfect for carrying things. I used it to carry my wallet while shopping. Made it a lot easier than having to worry about having a purse. The pouch is big enough for other things too. I also put my bottle of water in it and with my wallet and water in it, I still had plenty of room for other things. The leg rest has height adjustments so it is perfect for short people and even taller one's. The handles fold down so they are out of the way when collapsed. The seat has handles on it to make it easy to pick up. For me, the seat is a little snug but for someone smaller, it is a good size. It is also durable and sturdy. I have always wanted a compact wheel chair so that it is easier to get in and out my van. I would definitely recommend the Medline Transport Chair to my friends and family, which I have already done. They are looking into getting one for themselves.

The name of this chair is somewhat misleading I think. The title suggests that this chair is just an ordinary wheelchair but in fact it is a lot more than that! It is built for a larger person yet will fit even a child. It comes with its own seat built to secure the patient in place at all times. It comes complete with a handy pouch on the side to store your papers or small purse and it is very comfortable too, I would only suggest that you place a seat pad in the base of it for long rides though. The seat and back are made of a breathable nylon fabric that will prevent you from over heating in the seat over a long period of time. The foot rests are also adjustable and or removable if you want to propel yourself with your own feet. The chair weights less that a standard wheelchair and will fold up for easy storage. The ability to transport this chair from place to place with ease is a blessings and will give you a lot more mobility to get around. In the past you needed a ton of space to store the chair in the car and now it can fold up an be placed in a back seat even. The possibilities are endless with the freedom this new mobility chair will give you. Go out and explore whats out there from a new vantage point.
