Sterilite 4.0 Cup Square Ultra-Seal Food Storage Container, Blue (6 Pack)

My son has cerebral palsy and needed something that would be easy to open for his lunch sandwiches. These have been perfect! We have been using them nearly every day for several years and they are still holding up fine. I purchased similar ones made by Snap-Tite and they did "snap", into pieces and had to be thrown out. Now I will only buy Sterilite. I have all different sizes of these and use them for everything.

First the square shape of this container is ideal for most items that I seek to keep cold. Its square shape provides maximum utilization of space and is very stackable. It's sealing ability for my many months of using has maintained it's integrity, despite multiple cycles. It is durable, in as much as I have not experienced cracking. It does not appear to absorb foodstuff, causing color changes. I have yet to use it for frozen produce, however, will start to explore that area. Currently, I vacuum pack long term storage items to expel air. These containers I am considering using for short term frozen food storage in which I will only utilize a portion of the container's content at the time. The content of the container is clearly visible on all sides of the container. Based upon my many, many years of experience of using Sterilite containers I expect these new products to be used by me for many years to come. I have also found them useful for dry, unrefrigerated storage aboard my sailboat, for snacks, spices, first aid, and other items to be protected from the salty, humid conditions.
