I liked the size, color, soft velvety feel, and the edges that go up for my dog to put her head. I don't know about washing it as I just got it. My dog knows it's hers and looks great on bright pink with the black wires of her crate for contrast. The sides go up and keep her comfortable. I liked the price, too.
