Scarlet is so busy she doesn't know if she's supposed to be wearing her ballet leotard or her soccer uniform. Her single dad, Jacob, is so tired that he collapses into bed with his clothes still on. The only time Scarlet and Jacob have to connect is when they're in the car, speeding to the next activity. But when Jacob encounters a magical carousel, things start to turn in a whole new direction for this busy, busy family! AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY: Ronald S. Dachman, PhD (Dr. Ron), is a pediatric psychologist and the president of Behavioral Psychology Associates, located in the Chicago Metropolitan area. This book is the result of over thirty years of practice and thousands of conversations he's had with children, teens, and their parents about the pursuit of balance and happiness in an ever-changing world. Childhood is Dr. Ron's specialty and he is a strong advocate of free play and unfettered time at home with family. When he is not working on behalf of children and families, Dr. Ron loves spending time with his wife and his two amazing adult daughters. ILLUSTRATOR BIOGRAPHY: Elly Sebastian received a BFA in Illustration from the University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire and has since been working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer in the Twin Cities. Her bright, playful style lends itself well to younger audiences, but she hopes that viewers of all ages find joy in her work. Adding silly details and hidden treasures in each and every page has become her favorite part of illustrating. Elly has been featured in several publications and is currently at work on her third children's book. To see more of her work, visit www.ewsebastian.wordpress.com.
