Nice thermal layer!

I am on the pro-purchase program w/ Columbia & I love these new underlayers! I wore the set (top & bottom) all winter and spring and love the performance. It is thin, but warm due to the mirrored “dots” on the interior. It does fit close (athletic cut) which took some getting used to. I literally ice climbed, snow boarded, hiked and backpacked in these under layers and they were better than expected. Days used approximately 20.

Worked Great in the Sierras of California

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am new to the hiking / backpacking scene and I had the opportunity to put this shirt's technology through the paces. Did a one day snowshoe trek at mid 30s and a three day snow camp at Rock Creek Lake Bishop, CA where the temperature dipped to the teens. The shirt kept me fairly comfortable on it own in the mid to high 30's.. it is very comfortable against the skin and looks good. I love the shirt and I highly recommend this product.

Fantastic Base Layer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these as part of a layering system to help keep me dry and warm while outside in the MN winters. I have been wearing both the Mid Weight Tops and Bottoms along with a pair of Men's Ridge 2 Run III Pants and an older Whirlibird jacket. I have listed these as True to Size, as I am 6'3" 210#, and they fit tight and snug on me as a base layer should. I don't feel restricted or that I am not able to achieve a full range of motion. So far after 3 weeks of sub 30f's, I have been very happy. I have remained warm throughout the hour long walks, about 3.5 miles each, twice a day. Starting out I am comfortable, neither hot nor cold, by about mile 1 I am getting warm, and if we keep a good pace, by the end I might start sweating, which leads into the next part. After getting hot and sweaty a few times, it was really nice when I stopped outside for a few minutes and did not get a sudden chill from cooling off to fast, as I did actually feel dry, while the base layer outside felt a bit damp. All in all, I am very happy with these and will definitely be adding more sets so I can wear them daily throughout the winter, without offending any sensitive noses.
