I've been buying compostable, disposable plates and bowls for awhile now. It's a little more expensive than the cheaper paper items you get from your local retailer, but I think it's worth it. We don't have a convenient way to recycle in our rural town, so this is how I'm doing my part. I even save some of the less 'used' plates and bowls for other uses like starting plants for the garden. These are great for banana splits, tacos, salads and chip snacks. I will continue purchasing them as long as the price stays down.
