Great once it's finally assembled

When people say assembly is difficult don't underestimate it. It took us 30 combined man hours to assemble, but it's a great bed now that it's put together. Sturdy, tons of storage, my son loves it!

The instructions were not good. Some shading to show what new pieces were being added would have been helpful. A few written words saying "make sure the holes face up" or similar would have saved a lot of time. Eventually, we got it put together. We had two problems. 1) the included lights were not the lights shown in the instructions and we had to drill an additional hole to install. 2) The latches for the flip down part of the headboard did not meet the latch part on the headboard. We had to glue in an additional piece of wood to make it work. All in all, eventually it became a good bed with lots of storage space, but it was more of a project than expected. Total man (and woman)hours involved, including necessary modifications, was about 15 hours.
